The USGS Utah Water Science Center Data Program and a Scientific Investigation at Great Salt Lake

Presenters: Ryan Rowland, Data Chief and Christine Rumsey, Hydrologist

The USGS Utah Water Science Center, located in West Valley City, Utah, has an extensive hydrologic data collection program that includes real time stream discharge monitoring and annual groundwater level measurements at approximately 700 wells across the State of Utah. In addition, the Center conducts Scientific Investigations on a wide range of topics such as nutrient mass flux and cycling in Great Salt Lake and salinity trends in the Colorado River Basin. This work is done in cooperation with a diverse group of Federal, State, and local cooperators. We will give an overview of the Utah Water Science Center data program and give an update on an ongoing nutrient investigation at Great Salt Lake.

July 28, 12:00 p.m. - 1:00 p.m.

Zoom meeting information will be sent to those who RSVP.  Please RSVP to the Evite or to womenofwater@gmail.com.
