Women of Water has signed up to
participate in an event that helps to inspire girls to recognize their
potential and pursue opportunities in science, technology, engineering, and
mathematics (STEM). Expanding Your Horizons (EYH) is a conference for girls 6th
through 10th grade. This day-long event will include hands-on activities in STEM.
At the conference, girls will get a chance to meet STEM role models and learn
more about careers in those fields. The ultimate goal of this event is to
motivate girls to become innovative and creative thinkers ready to meet 21st
Century challenges.

Works” – When you take a shower or drink a glass of water, do you wonder where
your water comes from of where it goes when it runs down the drain or down the
sidewalk or roadway? Learn about how environmental engineers help to supply
clean drinking water to your community and also clean up dirty water before it
is returned to the environment. Explore how different materials catch different
waste particles to clean up your water. Hands-on demonstration included.
Please email Marianka at mariannas@aquaeng.com if you have
interest in volunteering for the event. We can use all the help we can get!
