Women of Water is ramping up
our fundraising efforts so we can keep this awesome organization going and
growing! We received a 501c3 designation
from the IRS and are now considered a non-profit organization and we can
solicit tax-deductible donations.
Currently our main source of
funds is from our membership dues. Membership in WoW expired on June 30,
2015. We hope you will renew! Professional memberships
are available for $35 and student memberships are $15. We keep our
costs as low as possible in order to allow as many people as possible to
join. Contact Rachael Peavler to renew your membership at Rachael.Peavler@mwhglobal.com. The membership form is attached. Thank you to everybody that has renewed
in the last couple of months.
Women of Water could not operate without the help of our
Sponsors! (Check out the Sponsors section on the right side of this blog to see
who they are). If you are interested in becoming involved with Women of
Water, please send us an email -- we would love to hear from you and talk
about a future partnership and ways to collaborate! (Just make sure ATTN Blog: Interested
WOW Sponsor is in the
subject of the email).
Our fundraising committee
would love some help. If you are
interested in fundraising please send our Funding Director, Lizel Allen, an
email at lizel.allen@gmail.com. If
fundraising isn’t your thing our Activities, Online/Communication and Mentoring/Outreach
committees are also in need of volunteers.
We recently teamed up with
the local chapters of the Society of Women Engineers and the Women’s
Transportation Seminar to submit a grant application to the Zions Bank Smart
Women Grants. Our application is to
request financial assistance in executing our first joint activity, a Work/life
Integration for Women workshop. We will be notified by September 30, 2015 if we
are awarded the grant.
We recently set up our
AmazonSmile program. If you currently shop at Amazon please consider setting us
up as your charity to support. Follow
this link https://smile.amazon.com/ch/46-3024109 and sign into
your Amazon account as you regularly would.
Your account should now show “Supporting: Women Of Water” in the
header. See the image below for
reference. Amazon donates 0.5% of your
eligible AmazonSmile purchases to our organization.
