USU's College of Science - Science Unwrapped needs volunteers!

USU’s College of Science is pleased to announce the 2014-15 schedule for the Science Unwrapped public outreach program. Each of the events, held on the USU campus (ESLC 130), begin with a lecture at 7 pm and are followed by hands-on learning activities and exhibits. USU is now seeking volunteers who would like to present activities and exhibits at our 2014-15 events. This is a great way to get involved in science outreach. Each event draws an average of 250 attendees of all ages.

What are the advantages to student Science Unwrapped volunteers?

  • Resume Builder: Gain valuable experience in science outreach.
  • Convenience: We coordinate and publicize the events; You focus on your outreach activities.
  • Location, Location, Location: Our events are held right on campus; no carpooling headaches.
  • No Sweat’ Commitment: We’re delighted if you volunteer for one event or many – no long-term commitment required.
  • Charter Compliance: If your club is a local chapter of a national professional society, participation in our events helps you meet outreach requirements.
  • Recruitment Tool: Participation in Science Unwrapped is a great way to recruit new members to your group.
  • Easy Scheduling: We don’t hold events during your class times.
  • It’s GREAT FUN!
