Upcoming presentation on SALARY NEGOTIATION
WHAT: Women of Water is excited to have Julie Swaner, a Career Coach/ Transition Consultant at the University of Utah Alumni Association, as a speaker on salary negotiation.
WHEN AND WHERE: Please join us on Tuesday, December 2nd at 12noon in the Education Building at the Jordan Valley Conservancy District Conservation Garden Park, 8275 South 1300 West, West Jordan,Utah 84088 for the speaker and LUNCH.
WHO: Everyone is welcome, especially women and those who employ and work with them!

Julie Swaner is the Director of Alumni Career Programs at the University of Utah. She has held this position since 2001. Prior to returning to Utah, she ran a food business in Kent, CT, for ten years, where she catered to the rich and famous in that neck of the woods. Her first job after graduation, with a B.A. in Philosophy, was as a Flight Attendant for Pan Am. She visited every continent except Antarctica and can say “please” and “thank you” in 20 languages.
Julie is a counselor and coach, certified to administer assessment tests in Personal Directions®, MBTI®, and the Strong Interest Inventory®.
Julie has coached clients to achieve their career goals and to implement plans for career fulfillment. She works with all kinds of clients from returning mothers to the workforce to executive level directors. She is focused on easing career transitions from downsizing, firings,or finding one’s bliss in a new direction.
Julie is an active member of the community, both professionally and socially. She received a bachelor’s degree in philosophy from the University of Utah and an MBA from the University of Connecticut. She recently received a Ph.D in Educational Leadership and Policy at the University of Utah.
